Martial Arts Accomplishments: Men's 2nd Degree Black Belt Grand Champion, 2004.
PSBN Joe has served with the United States Marine Corp Reserves since 2002 and is the proud parent of a 6 year old son. He has performed martial arts demos at the Toyota Center, individual schools and numerous national retail chains.

Jo Kyo Nim Omar Dumais

Year Received Black Belt: 2006
JKN Omar has been training in Kuk Sool Won for over 10 years. He is currently attending Houston Community College and working towards a degree in Physical Thearapy. JKN Omar has fought competitively in various Mixed Martial Arts tournaments and has additional ground fighting, boxing and Muay Thai training. He has also received additional training from martial arts legend John Perretti.

Jo Kyo Nim Thomas Vialva

JKN Thomas has recently received a bachelors degree at the University of Houston in Business Administration and wants to pursue an MBA soon. Along with his academic passions he continues to strive to progress in martial arts so that he may reap the benefits of that training in and out of school. He has a background in Tae Kwon Do and has transitioned his training to Kuk Sool Won for much of the past 10 years. JKN Thomas joined the staff of MAFA in the Summer of 2009, but continues to think of himself "as a student first."

Jo Kyo Nim Miranda Garza

Miranda Garza came to the Martial Arts Fitness Acadeny in March 2005 as one of the first students of the school. She is currently a junior at Elkins High School and is part of the Invisible Children, Habitat for Humanity and Excel clubs. She plans to attend A&M University to study for a degree in vetinary science. Miranda has been a volunteer instructor since 2007 teaching the little dragons and 6 to 12 year olds and is now part of our instructor family. Her ability to relate to our younger students is one of Miranda's best characteristics and allows her to connect with them on different levels. On her spare time she likes to read, spend time with family and is "beast" at Guitar Hero..
